L'Egyptienne Mayar Sherif a validé son ticket pour le second tour du Tenerife Ladies Open, en Espagne. La n°64 mondiale s'est en effet imposée face à l'Italienne Lucrezia Stefanini (188e), ce mardi 19 octobre.
Après avoir brillamment remporté le premier set (6-2), Shérif a écrasé son adversaire à la manche suivante (6-0). La joueuse de 25 ans continue ainsi sa belle percée sur le circuit WTA.
